The year of “soaring on Eagle’s wings”.

We thank the Almighty God, the controller of the universe, for the privilege of celebrating another year. He has preserved us all over the year 2020 facing major challenges all over the world. As members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, we have begun to fly from the last Holy Ghost Congress, which ended about two weeks ago. And I pray that as you fly, your strength will be renewed in the name of Jesus.

It is crucial to know that we need divine assistance on this path, Isa 40:31b says believers shall mount up like eagles, they shall run and not weary, they shall walk and not faint. In our spiritual journey, God does not want us to rely on our own natural strength to perform His supernatural work. We must learn to rely on His strength to run the race that He has set out for us. From this premise, with the help of the Holy Spirit, RCCG, VICTORY CHAPEL proclaimed 2021 the year of “soaring on Eagle’s wings”.

Let me just say something about the eagles. The Eagles are the Kings of the Sky. They are swift and powerful birds, and they can reach a height of 3000 km. Their speed of gliding can be up to 70 km/h and their speed of diving can be up to 150 km/h. Eagles also have extremely powerful and clear vision. From the great heights, they can clearly see the movements of their prey on the ground. It is believed that the eagle can see eight times as much as human eyes can see. Many believers slip into discouragement when they look with normal eyes at their circumstances. We must ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten our eyes so that we can see things from His viewpoint.

Certain attributes of eagles are as follows:

  • Eagles are fearless – An eagle will never surrender to the size or strength of its prey. It will always give the fight to win its prey or regain its territory.
  • Eagles are tenacious – Watch an eagle when a storm comes. When other birds fly away from the storm with fear, an eagle spreads its mighty wings and uses the current to soar to greater heights. The eagle takes advantage of the very storm that lesser birds fear and head for cover.
  • Eagles are highflyers – Eagles can fly up to an altitude of 10,000 feet, but they are able to swiftly land on the ground. At 10,000 feet, you will never find another bird. If you find another bird, it must be an eagle.
  • Eagles never eat dead meat – An eagle never eats dead meat. In other words, an eagle does not scavenge. It only eats the meat from the prey it kills itself. Eagles eat raw and fresh meat What a great act of true leadership.
  • Eagles test before trusting – When a female eagle meets a male and they want to mate, she first tests his commitment. Then and only then, will she allow him to mate with her.
  • Eagles are great leaders and problem solvers – They do not complain like the pigeons do. They love to take challenges as they do when the storm comes.
  • Eagles possess vitality – Eagles are full of life and are visionary but they find time to look back at their life and re-energise themselves.

Therefore, welcome to your year of SOARING ON EAGLE’S WINGS!
