We all experience storms in our lives—those occasions that bring pain, suffering, or loss. It’s in turbulent times that all sorts of questions come to mind: Where is God? Why has this happened? Was it something I did? Did God cause it? If so, why? The only safe place to go for answers in tumultuous times is God’s Word.
How often the Lord allows us to be stretched to the breaking point? Paul in the storm said “when all hope was lost” – Acts 27: 20, God sent His angels to reassure Paul that they would reach their destination. I say to someone today, you will reach your destination.
The song writer wrote:
Jesus is the Captain of the ship
So, do not let us despair
Jesus is the Pilot of the ship,
Fear not, I’m always with you.
Chrs:
Fear not my brethren
All rejoice always
Jesus is the Captain of the ship
How great turbulent can the storm be
He’ll make our ship land safely.
Sometimes, storms come in to wash away what we have failed to get rid of, willingly.
Trust the process.
